Nintendo Switch Firsthand Coverage

Hey, all! John De Large here with some pictures of the recent Nintendo Switch event in NYC, taken by our own Erik Haile and our good buddy Steve Mrozik! Mind the funky layout, we're having some problems with the blog at the moment, but hopefully everything rights itself soon

    based on your first impressions, would you recommend the switch?

      Erik here! I definitely would recommend it! I think the trick is to think of it as a portable console, that can also be a home console. Some of the home console things are very interesting as well. The HD rumble tech is impressive, and the motion sensing seems to be pretty accurate, even without a sensor bar or any sort. Battery life is also pretty good. Anywhere from 2.5 to 6.5 hours depending on game and configuration. The Legend of Zelda, for example, will get around 3 hours of play time, while Bomberman will get closer to the 5 hour mark if playing single player.
